After a ten year jaunt that covered the legal haunts of the city of London, America's gun-slinging Deep South, the humid jungles of Malaysia and Manhattan's concrete one, she finally laid down roots in chic Paris in 2013.

She intends to stay put, or at least long enough to pack her four kids off to University and master the French language; the latter may well take longer than expected...

 

PARIS 2013-2016:
Correspondent for the Malay Mail Online covering wide-ranging  areas of interest (all published articles are featured in her blog). In 2015, she completed an intensive PGCE teacher training course and she now also works as a part-time Primary school teacher.
NEW YORK CITY 2011-2013:
 

​As a regional correspondent for the Malaysian Insider, she covered the Occupy Wall Street movement, Hurricane Sandy and Manhattan's homeless.  Her educational interests led to project managing and editing school prospectuses for schools in Manhattan and Texas.

 

MALAYSIA 2006-2010:

 

​In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, she freelanced for several publications: Malaysiakini, Time Out KL, Expatriate Lifestyle, Bonda, The Expat, The Association of British Women. She took a special interest in KL's street children and the refugee community living in and around the city.

On the educational front, she project managed and edited the book Essential Education 2011—the ultimate guide to learning in Malaysia, extracts of which appear in the publication section.

TEXAS 2004-2005:

She worked as a news reporter for KPFT, a Houston community sponsored radio station and part of the Pacifica Foundation head-quartered in NYC (Democracy Now-Amy Goodman). Coverage included Hurricane Katrina, death by lethal injection and both local and state politics.

 

LONDON 1994-2003:

She trained and practiced as a lawyer in the City of London prior to leaving the U.K. for Houston, Texas.
