NEW YORK CITY: I am a British freelance journalist based in NYC and work as a columnist for Malaysian Insider, one of Malaysia's leading liberal non-government owned news' outlets.
MALAYSIA 2006-2011: In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia I wrote for several publications—Malaysiakini, Time Out KL, Expatriate Lifestyle, The Expat, The Association of British Women—and completed a two-year London School of Journalism postgraduate course passed with merit. I project managed and edited the book Essential Education 2011—the ultimate guide to learning in Malaysia.
TEXAS 2004-2005: I worked as a news reporter for KPFT, a Houston community sponsored radio station and part of the Pacifica Foundation headquartered in NYC (Democracy Now-Amy Goodman). Coverage included Hurricane Katrina, death by lethal injection and both local and state politics.
LONDON 1994-2003: I practiced as a lawyer in the City of London prior to leaving the U.K. for Houston, Texas.
